Electronic Serendipity
I found this effect by accident in Photoshop when I clicked wrongly! haha. I didn't know that you could get a solarized effect by using a sine wave in Curves. Felt so Alexander Fleming-ish. ^___^. At first, I made the ixora blossoms look like mini orchids. Then I increased the effect to try. So interesting.
This is a raw photo of similar flowers from the same place. I didn't tweak it because I thought it looked good enough already. There's something very back-to-basics about raw photos. Seems like growing organic vegetables.
The unopened flower spears. I remember that in primary school, my classmates used to pull out the style and taste the drop of nectar inside. But paranoid old me never used to do it. Think about all the bugs that crawled over it, not to mention the times when workers fumigate the area and blast poison all over the plants. That's what you're ingesting, along with dissolved car fumes and god-knows-what.
A construction site that I saw from the bus. Dragging part of the colour curve to the extreme made the overhead wires fade into the air. Hmm.
In the bus. Pretty literal.
A photo taken again of the Bugis Junction Fountain at night. Took it after I met Gwee at National Library when collecting my huge, wonderfully colourful and oh-so-FREE poster-sized prints.
Today has been blisteringly hot, and I felt rather off-kilter after being frozen in the Lecture Theater for the S^3 Army Talk and then forcibly thawed at the bus stop, AND being marinated in cloying diesel fumes from the construction site. Or maybe it was the 53.25 pullups I did before going to the bus stop because A.M. wanted to do some. The only consolation I got today was that there were no ashes blowing in from the nearby colubarium. hmph.
Surprisingly, the Physics test today was relatively easy. Haha. My classmates didn't want to sit next to me during the test because it wasn't as beneficial to them. If I beat any one of them in marks, I shall l a u g h. XP And there was Subway to eat for lunch today! mm. I enjoy this train of thought.
I am not stressed for promos. I should be, maybe, perhaps, because, I still haven't really understood the past 6 months worth of work?(!) I've just been going home and sleeping for the past few days. In ten years, I won't remember what I got for a random physics lecture test, but I will remember in twenty what funny things my classmates did. Maybe, I'll be dead of starvation 'cos I won't have money to buy food though. hahahaha.
No photos for a week or more and suddenly six in a row. I seem to be rather erratic.
*ex-scg classmates, will Chronicles of Narnia still be screening if we go watch a movie on the last Friday before the short holiday?*
