Wild Wild What?

I was wondering how to start off my post. The same old "Today, I did this, today I did that, reeks of boredom and It's bad enough that I'm bored. I don't have to spread the joy to you too.

And tadah, beating around the bush like that, the post has been started and you've just realised it! XP

I went to Wild Wild Wet today. For those who don't know, which you shouldn't since the place spams TV ads like nobody's business, it's this water theme-park in Pasir Ris.

Actually I wanted to stay home and dota but I had to go look after my brother and sister 'cause our uncle was bringing us there.

Rating: Okay, sort of fun, gets boring after a while but you can treat it like a big swimming pool.

There isn't all that much stuff to do there. According to their website, they have a grand total of nine attractions. But one is a small water playground which isn't a ride per se (Just imagine a HDB playground fitted with small water jets), one is a small jacuzzi with a waterfall feature thing which I seem to recall a certain classmate of mine having at home, ehrm ehrm I can just imagine her family going to the theme park and laughing at that thing. (Daddy, daddy, our water feature at home has halogen lights fitted to the bottom too!) So the effective number of rides is five with one larger water playground.

Well, they're not all that bad actually. They're the kind of rides that you just do over and over again. One is a flume ride. Quoted from website:

Ideal for thrill and adrenaline seekers, it's the closest thing you ever experience next to white water rafting!

Compare it to the photo Jloh posted on his blog and it's quite laughable. It's a one minute long ride with three sharp drops scary enough to give only the weakest of grannies a heart attack.

Haha but never mind, just don't think too much and it's tolerable about up to five times.

They had a wave-maker pool that has pretty realistic surf. The waves crashing on the beige bottom look resort-beach quality. There was one ride that I was too chicken to try. Some Samsung thingy. The drop was pretty steep.

I liked this slide ride best. It's a closed-off tube ride that lasts about a minute or slightly less. You slide off solo into this tube that's pitch dark inside and see nothing. There's the sound of gushing water all around and it's a nice sort of environment. Inspirational. I wish it were longer though. It would be nice to slide around in pitch darkness for five minutes and randomly think about stuff.

The park's largest attraction is this swimming pool stretched long and thin around the perimeter. There are wave-generators that turn on once in a while and pumps to keep a gentle current going. But floating around in plastic doughnuts gets boring. It's functional as a lap pool though and you can swim counter current like a water treadmill or with current like doing the aquatic version of 2.4.

I managed to get slightly sunburnt on a cloudy day. -_-" UV rays are strong and all that.

I tan very easily. Think I went three shades tamaleh-er today. It took a month and a half of endless dota to turn me noticeably lighter and that was undone in an hour or two. On a cloudy morning. On a cloudy drizzling morning. -_-"

I only played one game of dota today and I think I'll try to sleep by twelve! I'm on the rebound! The first step to fighting the addiction yadda yadda. But it kind of got boring today. I don't even have any particular character I want to use already. Maybe I'll make myself a 72-sided die.

Oh my back burns.
