Light and Dark Fringes
Well, this was the LT2 Staircase from a few weeks back during an excruciating 1.5 hour exposure to videos of idiots chattering nonsense in China talkshows.
So anyway, ACJC. First thought: "This place is Huge." Second thought: "This place is Expensive." Technically, second thought should have come first because there was this sign at the entrance advertising an Ipod Nano as a top prize for one of the little game booths. Consolation prizes were like DVD players and stuff, omfg. And one of the booths was supposedly sponsored by some student's parents. Student, singular. -_-_-_-_-.
Various stalls. I didn't try any game stalls. Just food and food and food. Wah, the sponsorship is fantastic. The tickets have little Metro discount coupons at the bottom. There was a stall selling authentic Kenny Rogers Roast Chicken. There was a small market's worth of coconuts and fruits being sold in some hall - the pasar malam size kind. Genuine Swensens chocolate ice-cream and Haagen Daz stuff frozen solid as rocks in dry ice. After a lick or scratch, the ice-cream surface freezes over again and makes a thunking sound if you knock it with the spoon.
Loads of colourful balloons which made me <3 my camera for the photo quality in good daylight.
Good lord, the place is huge. I walked into two places that I thought was the canteen before I found the real one. And their lifts have marble-tiling that look hotel-like. Bah. Lol.
The entrance walkway.
On the way back to Buona Vista along the construction site. Such a nice fluffy-cloud day.
Goodness. ACJC is damn nice. All the money that pours into it. Wah. No wonder W. Chee wanted to go there without bothering to appeal to stay in Teejay. I still like Teejay, but while AC drips with class, teejay leaks with rust.
Well, I didn't stay too long actually because we wanted to go LANning. I think I spent too much. Now I'll be a pauper for the next week.
I realised yesterday that I resent getting lectured at or (harshly?) critiqued by people who I feel are inadequately qualified or are not mutually familiar with me. So what. I'm only human. And not sufficiently divine.
