Sunny Skies

Yay, the latest Naruto manga chapter is getting more interesting.

Today was a gorgeous sunny day. There were national flags flapping merrily in the sun and red-and-white cows congregating in little clusters here and there along the roads. The sky was vividly blue. No camera, dammit.

Haish, scholarship day. The talks were interesting. The PSC scholars doing Uni in China had slight Mainland accents, and the guy doing a presentation about himself studying in Oxford spoke in a clipped Brit accent. The police officer who did a post-grad course had no accent at all, because he did that in Italy where they "non parli inglese".

Well, I was inspired in an inverse way. Scholarship day made me get around to thinking about what I would do in the future. I've been trying to skip that question because it's so troublesome to think about it, but today smacked CAREER DECISION into my face, because after all, scholarships are career paths.

I don't think I want to take a scholarship because none of the offered career paths make me think "YESYES THISISJUSTWHATIWANT!". And I'm not that eager to go overseas because of various reasons. Maybe a premature judgement? I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't be happy doing a uniformed civil servant job though. And painful though it is to admit, I don't think scholarship providers want me either. Haha. XP =(

After discussing with zai at KFC, I kind of made one of the biggest decisions of my life over root beer and lousy mushroom gravy. Think I'll most likely end up trying to get into Med. You know, learn all the medical ninjutsu. It's not about politicking to snatch the way up the hierachy ladder, but more like pure slogging and mugging. No pathology though! ^.^ I'll end up a patient if I have to ogle dead bodies all day.

Ah well, if that doesn't come to pass then maybe I'll do science research and then end up being a teacher later on. Need to find out more about that option. I could possibly end up doing marine bio or ornamental fish research though I don't see where that would take me. Highway to hell maybe.

A-Star probably has some kinds of scholarships for that but I'm quite sure that I don't stand a shitty chance. So I shall cheerfully ignore that.

Bleah. I don't want white hairs thinking about all this. I have a feeling that I don't know enough to make a complete decision yet. I don't even know what letters of recommendation to get, when etcetc. Hate this stuff.

I might decide to go fishing by myself during the National Day holiday period. Hmm. Koped a retractable fishing rod from my dad's collection. It can fit nicely into a poster tube, but give it a swish and flick and it light-sabres out to more than three metres. Fish don't care if I've got 2 S-Papers or not.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Why has no fat bumbling oaf ever barged into my house and told me that I was a wizard?
