Bonds Dissolved, Chains Broken, Freeeeeeee!

Thinks: The exams are over.

Thinks: So?

Thinks: Wait a minute.

Thinks: Did I just think that the exams are over?

Thinks: Could this be? (BACKGROUND: *gasp*)

Thinks: The exams are over?

Thinks: As in, OVER?

*Slaps self twice*

Thinks: I'm not asleep!

Thinks: They ARE over!

Thinks: ...........................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hallelujah!

(*Faints*)

Lol, so anyway, great! The exams are finally over and done with and I don't have to worry now. So yesterday, we didn't play basketball because someone forgot his P.E. and then it started raining. We were at a loss as to where to go because *certain people* don't want to spend money and are only willing to go to cheap places. Thankfully, the discussion was settled when Tamaleh called Tamalehpapa to ask if five of his friends could go and eat for free at Tamalehpapa's co-owned Indian restaurant.

At first, Tamalehpapa said: "NO!"

Then Tamalehpapa called back a couple of minutes later and said he would settle the bill. Hurray for Tamalehpapa!

As such, five very cheapskate and thick-skinned people took the NEL to Little India. I doubt we would have gone so far without the lure of a free lunch.

The restaurant, Anjappar, is along Race Course Road. I feel obliged to promote it because of the free lunch.

The outside of the restaurant.

The restaurant's metal cups. (Heheh they're what I imagine jail cutlery to be like before they switched to plastic.)

The plate. No, the tissue wasn't meant to be there.

So after an otherwise very expensive lunch (A small scoop of Wall's ice cream was $5 and a bowl of fried rice with mutton was $7-8), we realised that Sim Lim Square was quite near. So we trekked through Little India to get there. I snapped some stuff along the way.

The back of the Sri Mariamman Temple.

Sacks at the back of the temple.

The temple arch.

The street in front of the temple.

The temple front.

The street again, before we crossed it.

An alley piled high with junk.

The external units of air-conditioners. This was just across the road from Sim Lim Square already. Is that area so hot that they need that many?

A notebook in Sim Lim with an attached webcam. I wouldn't pay that much for a picture of Tamaleh and Lumpy.

So after the tamaleh, the pervert and the hongkonger left, we went through the Bugis Street Market to get to the National Library. I didn't know that the inside was so Chatuchak-y. I have a couple of pictures of the inside but they're bad. And then we wasted time reading stuff at National Library till about 6pm where we dropped by Bugis Junction to get snacks (I got a Beard Papa and a plain Corokke from Corochan's Corokkes). The end!
