Casings and Crazy Things
I got myself a nice new 80gb hard-drive in this blue external casing to keep it outside the computer. Yayness!
Ah, now we get to the Batam trip. This was taken from the open air back of the ferry. I had to wipe to salt-spray off the lens after that.
The hull of the ferry.
The Batam Ferry Terminal roof. Ethereal.
Okay, this is the wood carving shop. It was disturbing to see the little kids running around and playing around all these. There was this wooden tray of what I thought were fat earthworms sitting up in an S-shape until I looked closer. Yikes. Perverted Indons.
Ripples out of the window on the return ride.
Batam's a pretty developed place now. I almost mistook some of the roads for Singaporean ones. They have a few malls with more coming up but all of them selling the typical retail stuff. I had to hunt around in the ferry terminal before I found a "BATAM ISLAND" tee-shirt for my classmate who's having a birthday, because the rest were all Calvin Klein and Polo/Ralph Lauren stuff. Not like you find in Thailand where they grovel for you to buy their I Love Phuket shirts. And there's only one cinema for the whole area.
I told my Indon Sec 4 ex-classmate in Teejay now that I got my DVDs at S$2.50 apiece and he said that the average price in Indonesia is S$1-S$2. Then I said that those stupid Indons cheated me, and he replied that the Indons were smart to cheat stupid Singaporeans. Lol, I got owned. Hahaha.
Gotta remember to bring the Gouda cheese for the Biology - Food Biotech thingy tomorrow. I snitched a bit to try and it was so-so I guess. Tastes a bit chalky and dry. I like softer cheeses.
Lights out, brain off.

I bought you a batam shirt for your birthday so you'd better shut up! Anyway it's not that the picture was bad, but I darkened it so it wouldn't be too obscene.
