Feeshing!
Ahhhhh finally! Two more people than originally expected turned up and one more dropped by halfway. Big Blue and the green rod are both mine.
This random strange not-very-old-and-not-quite-uncle-uncle, fishing around without a shirt, decided to be a helpful busybody and teach all of the the others to catch sardines, and he supplied Ced's and Zai's female friend (who was tagging along using Ced's fishing rod) with a set of the appropriate jig hooks worth about a dollar or two for free (Hmm?) because she didn't have them. Zai got lucky and caught a baby Spanish Mackerel.
Random shot of end area.
It was a change to catch something for once! Baby Pink-Ear Emperor Snapper Lethrinus lentjian. Mine! Lau chee ko uncle unhooked my snapper while I was looking for my pliers and groped it around to show Ced's friend. Grrr! My fish are my property to grope and mine alone! But he did take them off my hands for a while so I grudgingly forgave him for that. Hah.
I caught this later on the blue rod again. Chee ko uncle said it was a baby Rainbow Runner but I have a sneaking suspicion that it's really an Amberjack, which matters not at all actually. That's his hand and his faux Crocs groping my poor Amberjack without my permission again to show that girl. Grrrrr.
Random ocean shot after a drizzle. A ship was fuming black smoke.
Tamaleh and I placed our orders with Zai and Ced who went off to buy lunch. While they were away, Chee Ko uncle went for a little walk with Ced and Zai's friend down the jetty, presumably to buy new jig hooks. I decided that I wasn't responsible for guaranteeing personal safety, only fresh bait and so if she was found decapitated or worse under the jetty later, none of my business. :)
It was too messy to take photos later, so I only took more at home. The top is a baby Queenfish that I jigged up. Mine! All mine! It remained relatively unviolated. Below are sardines Sardinella fimbriata and large-scaled grunters Therapon theraps. Oooh I'm tired.
