Look! Humans! HAHAHAHAHA. What?

Hello readers! To satisfy my daily photo-upload-fix, here are two images from the LifeScience workshop I volunteered in. The top picture is a sample of the glowing E. coli bacteria growing on an agar plate as seen under UV light. The bottom pic is a sample of the separated glowing protein in a separation column thingy. I think my fingers might mutate after being exposed to UV for so long.

Now, for some reflection. I've been a bit insane lately. Ok, that's an understatement. A lot insane. Do you know anyone who will point at the canteen, say: "Look! There are people in the canteen!" and laugh hysterically for ten minutes?

*raises hand*

oh well. At least I'm not alone in my madness. My classmates do it too. hehe. And it's a pretty good way of passing time during Chinese lesson. See, this is the typical scenario:

Enters class. Sits down. Teacher starts talking about last month's homework that was due last month.

Classmate: "Look, she's talking!"

*Laugh, laugh, laugh. Shaking hysterically at table non-stop. If it gets too bad, I duck under the table and look like I'm searching for something in my bag, while laughing my lungs out*

*Me* looks at watch. Oh, only 15 min passed. Can laugh some more. Ho ho ho ho ha ha ha ha.

*Me* looks at watch again. Oh, 10 min left. Ok, can stop laughing now. *Collapses on table, quivering once in a while. Breathe, in, out, in, out. If I hyperventilate, I won't be able to run to the canteen for break.

YES! Lesson over. Teacher says that the homework we were told to hand up by the end of the period absolutely MUST. HAS. DEFINITELY NEEDS TO BE. handed up by next lesson. Typical. And freedom from Chinese for another day!

Ha, I guess you've gotten the idea by now. At least I stay awake during Chinese. Tsk tsk. Cannot be like Gen Shen and sleep throughout.
