It's Been a Long Time Since I've Felt So Alive

A fish decoration lantern outside the marine-themed bar along Orchard Road. The inside of Wheelock Place. I was scolded by the security guard, but you've all heard that sort of thing before.

A psychedelic escalator. Not sure which building this was, but it was also along Orchard Road.

Met my ex-scg classmates today for an outing. I went to teejay first to meet Allen, Caryn the organizer and Adeline, where we said byebye to Joshua when he left. I was rather quiet for the first part of the evening, I know, and you all commented. It was because I was soaking up the surroundings and the fun old chatter again, and didn't particularly have much to say. (If I start talking about arjay, the topic's going to either veer to the school size, the class environment or the mugging and all these make me gloomy ~_~)

Then we ended up taking a taxi to the MRT in which Carrot decided to fiddle with the uncle's air-freshener device and taxi meters and stuff. Haha. I thought that something would be broken and the taxi fare would go past thirty or something. Allen suffered many slaps from a chem rep. Heh.

We got to Orchard somewhat fashionably late. Had dinner on the top floor of Lido where Kevin spouted more pervy stuff. Lol. He's very entertaining; just clean your ears once in a while. Carrot wanted to go see a horror flick so that she could boo us, but we ended up watching a thriller called Red Eye instead. It was more of a comedy though.

The basic storyline is that this guy who chats up a hotel-owner lady at an airport and ends up sitting beside her on a late-night flight turns out to be some professional killer who wants to force her to call and change the room of some important person and his family so that assassins can blast them to oblivion with a shoulder-held rocket-launcher, or her dad will be killed. He terrorizes her on the plane while she tries every way to avoid making the call, until she makes it in the end. Then when the plane is landing, she gets really pissed and sticks a pen into his throat, and makes a quick getaway. Surprisingly, the guy merrily drags the pen out of his throat and runs after her, croaking death threats. She calls the hotel where they narrowly save the family, then steals a car and rushes home, ramming it into the killer who's waiting to do in her dad. The baddy turns up in her house, where she proceeds to chase him around and throw everything she can at him, and I mean it literally. The baddy must be part Terminator to survive hard knocks on the forehead, a vase smashing on his arm, various chairs and many, many thwacks with a hockey stick, and you can't help but cheer when she kicks him in the crotch in a really kickass manner. (Actually, people did cheer, and I was quite pleased to loudly "shh!" them. muahahahah)

Anyway, so we wandered over to Wheelock Place and Borders, and then Cineleisure, where I took these pics along the way. We went to camp at Cafe Cartel in Cineleisure for the free bread and water. Tip! Go late, after ten. The cakes are half-price then. I found an anime-stuff shop on the third floor of Cineleisure called Rapid Culture. They had all these anime stuff, like FullMetal Alchemist figurines and plushies, Naruto paraphernelia, boxes of Gundam models and stuff like that. Drool. I've got no money. Haiz.

So anyway, we spent the rest of the time eating bread, drinking water, and a bit of Auntie Amy's Chocolate Cake (Are you both sure you like it microwaved?) and chatting about anything and everything. It just felt so nice and honest. No pretence. Left at about 11.30pm when we realized the time.

And ack! On the MRT at Kembangan, we saw Shaun get off and walk off in one direction. Then our ex-GP tutor Ga(y)briel Wee marched past our cabin window in a tight grey shirt and sweating profusely. He was supposed to have gone overseas. Haha. Eek. And Shaun started following him, whereby I contributed $0.80 to sms the rest about the interesting encounter. Lol.

It was really nice talking to all of you again, and it's great to know that our friendship lasts beyond school. Let's have another outing after promos.

P.S. Fine, I shall grudgingly admit that the organizer didn't mess up much after all. At least most of them came. haha.

goodnightandsweetdreams.

Edit (2.35am)

Wow, I just checked Havoc's blog. I can't believe that her dad doesn't mind her bf climbing into her bed to hug her when she's sleeping. Teens these days, tsk tsk.
