Stop! Shave Him!

Kayaking today! Met ex-scg classmates (well four of them) to go kayak at East Coast Park. I met W.H. and Shaun at Bedok MRT. We spotted our ex-gp tutor who wears suffocatingly tight clothing without fail, and turned away to hide. There was a fearful moment when we thought he would turn back from the ticket gate and see us. Think he was looking for his boyfriend or something. Eeyerks. Thankfully he went away, leaving us to snigger.
The East Coast Park swamp has been turned into a lagoon for the Lagoon Food Court. They fixed up some cable things to drag people around the lagoon if they pay money.
The rates were pretty decent. $6 an hour for a single person kayak and $15 an hour for a double. The auntie wanted to give us an extra hour free at first when we asked but we declined and went for breakfast first. Besides, Mr Gwee lost the way or something and Mrs Gwee was dragging him around ECP by the ear. hee ^^.
After floating around for an hour, it started drizzling here and there and we returned the kayaks. After we showered and got nice and dry, it started raining. And we didn't have umbrellas or stuff. So we sat around at the kayak lodge bar.
Lots of nice colourful kayaks.
Later on, Gwee x 2 had to go off, so shaun, w.h. and I went to have lunch and find a slot to watch Chronicles of Narnia. We took a bus to Orchard Cineleisure hoping to catch the 3.45pm show.
Bah. Sold out. So we ate at Cine's KFC and waited for good ol' perverted Kevin whom we haven't seen for quite a while. His jokes were puerile and vulgar as ever. Cool. Ahahaha. But he recently got braces or something and they're jabbing his cheeks so he can't say Pthuck without the spit flying.
Then we walked to Lido. Same case. There were only available seats for the five-thirty show, and W.H. + Shaun had to go home because of dinner. In Shaun's case, today was some Winter Solstice thingy and his grandma wanted to drag him to some industrial warehouse canteen for dinner and tangyuan.
So I watched Narnia with Kevin alone with goes to show how much I wanted to watch it. >.<
Heh the movie was somewhat, a bit, to a small extent, bloody goddamn spectacular. Wow. I loved it. The story mostly stuck to the book. The animated creatures had disturbingly realistic facial expressions and the CGI wasn't overdone. The four children were played very well too. They did such a good job of pissing each other off at the start, and the traitor Edmund betrayed them in a way that didn't seem overly dumb.
The witch has cool hair!
There were a few omgwtfINNUENDO! moments like when the witch, pretending to be a nice person, gets the little boy to cuddle up to her chest and asks him if he would like a nice hot drink before she conjures a cup of hot chocolate out of snow.
The beavers were hilarious. Love em.
And before she stabbed Aslan the lion, she told her evil minions to stop for a second, and then yelled: "SHAVE HIM!" And they plucked his mane with glee.
Hell, that wasn't in the book? Or did I read a censored version?
I think the witch needs a Guinsoo's Scythe of Vyse. She has practically zero mana capacity and only zapped stuff magically once when faced with the phoenix creating a wall of flame. Her conjuring magic relies on the little bottle of liquid she carries. Two charges of food maybe? I suppose her ice-shard-spear's ability to concretize anything it stabs is innate? Frost attack? Ehehehe.
And a nice finish to the big battle when the lion appears and strikes fear into the witch's icy heart.
I need a big wardrobe. Or enough money to buy the dvd when it comes out. Or a better connection to download the dvd-rip when it comes out.
Go here. Utter coolness.

witch is useless! she has, what, 100 years of battle experience and she can barely hold her own against a boy who has only a few days' experience of holding, not using, a sword. also, susan used her trueshot arrow (hurhur) once. okay, twice but once was on target board so it doesn't count. it would have been great if lucy had killed something!

lol susan's trueshot arrow (hurhurhur) wasn't working very well. Lucy was very scary. Omg her kiddie dagger that hits right on target. And my friend saw this Brazillian waxing ad along the Orchard Underpass area so he kept talking about waxing the lion through the movie. Ergh.
