Feeling Accomplished and Slightly Richer

A bee-thing that injured its leg and was hobbling along a void-deck corridor away from the rain. Those are some wicked fangs. Top view. It has a really nice sheen on its wings.

I got a call from HYPE today evening and a lady told me that someone actually bought my Ripples photo! She said to expect a cheque in the mail around the end of September. (Something to cheer me up during Promos) I was quite stunned. I even told the lady so and she laughed. Lol.

I mean, like woah. Woah. WOAH.

Someone actually wants to PAY for a shot that I casually snapped while cycling at East Coast Park. To hang something that I photographed on their walls. Gosh. goshgoshgosh.

Of course, there's always the chance that an art school wanted an example to demonstrate to their students how crapology can be passed off as art. But I'm not believing that and neither should you, if you want your ribs intact. Congratulate me when you see me and I'll buy you a drink. Serious!

I hope that it was the biggest available size image that was purchased. Meaning that they paid $188 for it and I get like $80+. I was too surprised to remember to ask. Rofl.

I'll post up a travel photolog of my Johor trip soon. I figured out how to take a photo of the fireflies living along banks of the Sungei Johor river when you see them by boat. You wait for the boat to go too close to the bank and brush into a tree. Then a firefly or two drops into the boat by accident and you ask for a plastic bag to catch it. It's quite easy to photograph fireflies when in a plastic bag. They hardly move when put in bright areas. I think mine kind of got stunned by the flash lol.
