Ambitionless

It seems that I took a hiatus and didn't say so. It was partly intentional, because every time I say that I want to take a hiatus, I never do. Heh. So, last saturday, I went to the NUS open house for an hour or two, and LANning after that. The open house by itself wasn't that spectacular. I went for this talk about admissions to NUS which was pretty pointless since it was all about NUS' affiliations with this university and that university. The actual highlight was when we met this professor guy at the dental faculty booth who told us a ton of stuff about his faculty and the other faculties in general, and it wasn't biased towards dentistry alone. Fascinating.

I left with a bag full of open house booklets and gimmicks. Hah.

After LANning at Dhoby Ghaut till late afternoon, we ate and then went to find some other friends who were lurking in a pool bar around the area. It wasn't quite sleazy per se, but it felt strange to go from a LAN shop full of kids to a pool room beside a bar stocked to the gills with liquor. I never go to these sorts of places. Felt so naive and country bumpkinish. Haha.

Well, maybe there's a reason because one hour of pool costs $13.50 here omigoshness.

I've been attempting to mug. There's a level 25 character currently stuck in limbo in the obscenely cute world of MapleStory that belongs to me now. Hee.

Read Jodi Picoult's "My Sister's Keeper" the other day and started "The Pact" yesterday. Pretty good but there are distinct similarities in her books I think. I found "Artemis Fowl - The Opal Deception" at Popular the other day and didn't have the time to read it at the bookstore so I bought a book for the first time in a long while. I'm wondering if I could, though. I remember camping for a few hours at MPH the day the fifth Harry Potter book came out and reading half of it while the staff kept asking me if I wanted to buy it and I kept saying yes, later. Haha.

Cheerios.
