A day of freebies! Oh joy!

A bagworm on granite. Exactly what I mean. National Day decorations. Flapping ever so enthusiastically in the wind.

Today has been a day of freebies. I went to Da Pai Dang at Thomson Plaza for lunch with classmates. The auntie recognized my friend who talked to her in Cantonese and she offered us free drinks. Last time, we got free dessert. hee

Then I went for some physics relativity talk. Amused myself by asking people whose relatives the lecturer was talking about. And there was a free reception after that! Shouldn't have ordered so much lunch. And after that, I went to a climbing centre to get forms for a competition and then went with my Indian friend to his family's restaurant in Little India. The food was pretty good, despite my countless remarks that I would be in hospital tomorrow. And it was all FREE FREE FREE!

Mr. Kiasu, eat my dust.

Read CCC's blog. She commented on SCG 26. There wasn't any comments box so I couldn't post anything, and I shall do so here instead.

I miss my old class. So colourful with all the pranks and jokes and outings. But I guess that those who left like myself had our own reasons. Perhaps the transience of the experience makes it all the sweeter.

I'm starting to like my current class now. They weren't completely the daoists that they seemed at first. And I guess it's true. What Mr. Fong told me; I adapt well after time. What I treasure greatly now though, is the way that the teachers communicate with their students. We express our views and they talk to us almost as equals. There is an utter absence of condescension from teachers to students, and they don't treat us like kids. If they disagree with us, they offer us a valid reasons, from the nicest to the nastiest teachers. The administration is efficient. It was quite a waste of time to spend three months in teejay for them to sort out the class system and then decide to revert. If you try to please too many students, nice though the thought is, you'll end up satisfying no one. Oh well. Everywhere has it's pros and cons I guess. And we still stay in touch, so I'm quite happy with the arrangement.

I'm to be a parade commander on Friday, with no mike or anything for help. Eurgh. Hope I don't squeak. hehe. Ced signed me up for some flag-bearer thingy for National Day celebrations, meaning that I'll have to dig up the old NCC uniform and see if it still fits. I used to hate it, but now, I feel that we have a subtle understanding of each other. haha.

Life is pretty good, ignoring promos. So long as my dusty boots don't kill me first.

  • LOL. you still call her that. I like how our class was nice and chummy. like everyone's on the same level, orat least pretty close. And we'd just decide to go out every so often.

My class is okay, but im still getting this "you aren't cool enough for me, but I'm nice so I'll humor you" vibe from some of them. and my class is super high profile. there's the student council pres and vice pres, the science council pres and secretary, band pres, tech council vice pres, hockey capt, air pistol vice-cap/BB DYCSM (ya, its the same guy) and a figure skater just to mention a few. Then again it might just be my low self esteem talking.

    -toodles.

  • woah! important scones. haha.

my class seems to be pretty high profile too. we have five student councillors, one of which is the sc president.

and since when did you have low self esteem?
