But You Gotta Keep Moving
My breakfast. Met Tamaleh at the bus interchange and went to have breakfast before taking the train to meet Ig where Ig's parents gave us a lift to VeeJay.
VeeJay was very lively as usual, like last year, but the goody bags have shrunk. Sigh. I played one round of chess with a VeeJay chess club member and several rounds of with Clarence before going off with Tamaleh and Iggy to see the VeeJay rock wall and their pullup comp thing. I and Tamaleh managed to handle the small roof on the rock wall and then we got Snickers Bars and keychains for doing >14 pullups. Hee, the rock wall was fun and quite easy. I asked the VeeJay climbing people or ohdack people which side of the climbing harness was front for wearing, lol, even though I've got a better harness at home. Free ice-cream too yay! I wouldn't have minded VeeJay if I'd gotten that but then it's very hard for me because no Higher Chinese. VeeJay is a very nice homely sort of place with an electric environment.
The VJ dances are nice. Shall not compare.
Before lunch, we stopped by Cathay Photo @ Marina Bay to check out the cameras. I got to handle the G6, and Gwee got some cam lenses and stuff. Then lunch at Carl's Jr at Marina Bay Shopping Centre with Tamaleh and Gwee. We got free $2-off coupons for Carl's Jr in the VJ goodie bags and lucky for Gwee, there was an extra coupon in my bag. Lol. I didn't even look through the goody bag until I wanted the coupon which Tamaleh found. Played some chess during lunch while Gwee took photos with his film camera. Then we went off to scout out Peninsula Plaza and Tamaleh went home.
Walking back from Bras Basah Complex. I've never been there before. Art Friend has a huge amount of wacky art supplies! They even sell authentic rabbit pelts minus the real rabbit. There's a bit of fluff where the rabbit tail was. Poor skinned bunnies.
Random shot of shadows.
The sunset at Simei along the way to a classmate's house for class gathering. It was quite nice but there wasn't much to do there. We used his mum's laptop to surf the net with other people's connections. I've learnt the basics of floating bridge today. Just not very well.
Toodles.
